"Library of my dreams Activity"

Our dear fifth graders students could visit our town Public Library. They enjoyed quite an interesting and rewarding guided visit.

They got to know how a big public library works, they learnt about the system to check out books from the library, books classification (Children´s Literature, Teenagers´ Literature, National Literature, Local Literature, Foreign Language Literature....), books gender classification (narrative, poetry, drama) and the library facilities (study room, computers room,kindergarten area, research area...).

Interesante recorrido que vivieron nuestros alumnos durante la visita guiada por la biblioteca pública de Dos Hermanas. Aprendieron mucho sobre cómo se organiza y funciona una gran biblioteca: sus diferentes estancias, su sistema de préstamos y sus maravillosos duendecillos encargados de velar por el cuidado de los valiosos ejemplares que allí se guardan y custodian.

 "A book is telling activity"

Our dear sixth graders were visited by an editor who works for Readuck Publishing House in Seville. This publishing house focuses on editing fantasy, horror and science fiction books. 

Students were told about the process every book undergoes before we are able to read it.

Children got really interested in the concern and they learnt a lot from the presentation the editor gave them.

After a week of quite an interesting work about READING together with our partners from Lithuania and Turkey as well as Lithuanian students in an online way, we are on the newspaper!!!

Después de una semana en la que hemos llevado a cabo un interesante trabajo junto a maestros y maestras lituanos y turcos, así como junto a alumnado lituano de forma online,

 ¡hemos salido en el periódico!

Online Spanish mobility video to sum up the Erasmus + "READING· project experiences we could live together with Lithuanian students in an online way and lithuanian and Turkish teachers who were able to join us here in Dos Hermanas, Seville.

Vídeo resumen de las actividades organizadas durante los días de intecambio virtual con el grupo de alumnos de Lituania y de acogida del profesorado lituano y turco que pudieron unirse físicamente a nosotros en la mencionada organización dentro del Proyecto Erasmus + "READING" que desarrolla nuestro centro.

We can say that your friends from the Lithuanian school really liked the play. Thanks to the online connection we had in the morning they also enjoyed it !!!

19 de Abril School students have the honor to show the school and welcome our dear students from Lithuania in this video to start with this Exchange online meeting in Spain from November 29th to December 2nd.

The Headteacher, the language assistant and some students have happily participated.

Fifth grade students were also interested in giving a presentation in front of the class, but they decide to answer to the condition:

 “If I were a writer, I would write a book about…” , by making a minibook in which they told us about the kind of book they would write if they were writers!!!

El alumnado de quinto también deciden responder a la pregunta de qué libro escribirían si fueran escritores y lo hacen confeccionando un minilibro cuyos rsultados son maravillosos.

MAY 2021 ACTIVITY

“Which kind of book would I write if I were a writer?”

(This activity should have been done in February 2021.

 It had to be put off because of the pandemic)

ACTIVIDAD DE MAYO DE 2021
"¿Qué clase de libro escribiría si fuera escritor?"

(Esta actividad deberúia haberse hecho en febrero de 2021. 

Tuvo que ser pospuesta por la pandemia )

In this activity, our primary school students had to think what kind of book they would write if they were a writer, so students have made a handmade book, an empty box-like book, they have decorated it, they have written on it the title: “If I Were A Writer…”  and inside they put some items representing the topic, the plot about their book would deal with if they were writer. This way, for instance, if a student´s book dealt with adventures, they put inside a treasure map, a compass, a multiuse a mini multi-use keyring… If the book, instead, dealt with a Science fiction story, the student could put inside a model spaceship, maybe a drawing of the spaceship made by themselves, a photo, a magazine cutout…

Sixth grade students were eager to give a presentation in front of the class where to show what their books keep. This presentation was  entitled:

 “If I were a writer, I would write a book about…”

While they are giving their presentations, students will explain to their classmates what their books dealt with and the reasons why they would write about that kind of stories, plots.

Algunos alumnos comparten con sus compañeros y compañeras de clase sus libros hechos a mano y, dentro de ellos, objetos que representan ideas, asuntos y tramas de las que escribirían en el caso de ser escritores.
